About Us
Meet Rory – Your Guide to Holistic Health
Hi, I’m Rory, the founder of UEvolve Coaching. My journey in the fitness industry began in 2008 as a personal trainer, but it wasn’t until I faced my own health challenges that I truly understood the depth of what it means to be healthy.
Despite being a fitness professional, I found myself grappling with low energy, mood issues, and an unhealthy lifestyle. This personal struggle sparked a transformation that went far beyond physical fitness. I immersed myself in books, research, and educational content, expanding my understanding of health to encompass nutrition, mental wellbeing, and lifestyle factors.
Today, as an exercise physiologist and health coach, I bring this comprehensive approach to health to all my clients. My mission is to share the insights and understandings I’ve gained to help others transform not just their bodies, but their entire lives.
With over a decade of experience, including work with NDIS, DVA, and WorkCover patients, I’ve developed a unique approach that combines evidence-based practices with holistic health principles. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply want to achieve your peak health, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

What We Do
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is an Exercise Physiologist?
An Exercise Physiologist is a allied health professional who specialises in the benefits of exercise to help patients get fitter, stronger, and healthier. We use exercise as medicine to prevent and manage a wide range of health conditions, injuries, and disabilities.
Q2: How is an Exercise Physiologist different from a Personal Trainer?
While both work to improve physical fitness, Exercise Physiologists have extensive university education in anatomy, physiology, and pathology. We are qualified to work with individuals with chronic diseases, injuries, or disabilities, and can provide more comprehensive, science-based treatment plans.
Q3: What conditions can an Exercise Physiologist help with?
Exercise Physiologists can assist with a wide range of conditions including, but not limited to:
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Diabetes
- Weight Gain/Obesity
- Arthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Mental health conditions
- Chronic pain
- Cancer recovery
- Neurological disorders
Q4: Do I need a referral to see an Exercise Physiologist?
While you don’t necessarily need a referral, having one from your GP can be beneficial. It may allow you to access rebates through Medicare, DVA, or your private health insurance.
Q5: Are your services covered by Medicare or private health insurance?
Many of our services are covered under Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management plan, DVA, WorkCover, and most private health insurance extras cover. We recommend checking with your provider for specific details
Q6: What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session will involve a comprehensive assessment of your health, fitness levels, and goals. We’ll discuss your medical history, perform some basic fitness tests, and develop a personalised plan tailored to your needs and preferences.
Q7: How is health coaching different from exercise physiology?
While exercise physiology focuses primarily on physical health through exercise, health coaching takes a more holistic approach. It addresses various aspects of wellness including nutrition, mindset, stress management, sleep, and lifestyle factors, alongside physical activity.
Q8: Can I access your services if I'm not local to Bonville or Toormina?
Absolutely! We offer online coaching services that allow you to access our expertise from anywhere. We also provide home visits within certain areas.
Q9: How often will I need to see you?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Some clients see us weekly, while others might come fortnightly or monthly. We’ll discuss the best schedule for you during your initial consultation. We also have an app where we can set up your exercise, nutrition, and health coaching programs for you to complete on your own time.
Q10: I'm new to exercise. Is your service suitable for beginners?
Definitely! We work with clients of all fitness levels, from complete beginners to advanced athletes. Our programs are always tailored to your current ability and gradually progress as you improve.
Q11: How does your NDIS service work?
For NDIS participants, we provide specialised exercise programs aimed at increasing independence, improving daily functioning, and enhancing overall quality of life. We can work with your NDIS plan manager to arrange services.
Q12: Do you offer group sessions?
Yes, we offer small group fitness classes at our Bonville gym and at Anytime Fitness Toormina. These are a great way to exercise in a supportive, motivating environment while still receiving personalised attention.
Remember, your health journey is unique, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
